Nuegados of cassava

The nuegados of cassava are undoubtedly one of the most tasted typical meals in our country El Salvador. This delight is also a dish popular in some tourist sites that are generally known as living people or some tourist as for example in Los Planes de Renderos areas.

Nuegados of cassava

The Salvadoran nuegados are made with cassava so you have a simple taste, but the special touch honey’s sweet brown sugar which are accompanied provides them. The ingredients to prepare Yucca nuegados are as follows:

  • 2 cups of ground yuca (must be raw)
  • 2 eggs.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon of powder for baking.
  • ½ Cup grated hard cheese.
  • Enough oil for frying or butter.

Preparation

All the above mentioned ingredients bind and balls or pancakes are made with them. It gets warm the butter or oil and fry the patties until browned on both sides. These always adds them over a very special, prepared honey of a material called sweet tying, it is bought on the market and which comes wrapped in Pocket gopher.

Preparation of honey

To make the honey, in a pot to simmer put water with sweet tied until dispose and a slightly thick honey is formed. Then left to cool then place it on the nuegados. The nuegados may also be accompanied with chilate.
