Salvadoran marquesote (recipe)

The Salvadoran marquesote is a typical sweet bread is prepared enough in our country, the basic ingredients used to prepare it are virtually flour and eggs which are smoothies quickly.

Salvadoran marquesote (recipe)

Ingredients (for 4 marquesotes)

  • 1 cup flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Cinnamon in sticks
  • Margarine or oil to grease container, mould or Tin baking
  • Optional: Anise (to taste but sparingly)

Preparation

The first step is to beat the eggs with an electric mixer either or can be done by hand with a spoon, that if we must first beat the egg whites until they are whites, i.e. until they look like a white foam.

After the addition of the aorta of eggs and beat for another five minutes, after that you add the sugar and cinnamon and it beat until the sugar to dissolve and the mixture is smooth. Now add the flour and beat again.

Immediately, put the mixture we get in baking molds that previously must be greased and so non-stick bread.

We then bake for 25 minutes at a temperature of 350 degrees. To test whether the bread is ready you can put a knife inside, if the knife comes out clean means that the bread is ready.

It is recommended to consume the Salvadoran marquesote immediately after baking it, since leaving it too long it can become hard.
