Garden botanical La Laguna, a natural landscape interspersed in an industrial zone, with an area of 42 acres of land is located just a short walk from the bustling town of San Salvador.
Located in what was once the crater of a volcano that erupted for more than 2 thousand 200 years, offers its visitors a wide variety of vegetation – some 3 thousand 500 species – national plant and different parts of the world.
The garden is one of the few ecological reserves with which the country and has enabled the public an extension of 4.6 apples, in which huge trees surrounded by colorful flowers and greenery serve as meditation and relaxation.
The site was opened to the public on December 22, 1978, and its topography is flat, located at 805 meters above the sea level and is located south of the city of Antiguo Cuscatlán, La Libertad Department.
